Sculpture by Bradley Sunnarborg

In my work I choose objects that hold a history of their own, independent of my hand. I shift the context in which these objects and their intrinsic history are usually viewed.

I believe the process of creation rather than the creation itself makes beauty in art and living. Just as the way I live my life shows on my face, all of my work carries evidence of its physical history.

I am attempting to tell stories about my experience and to cast light on the thread that connects our stories. It is here among us where all our mysteries lie entangled and shrouded in our daily rituals. In Audre Lorde's words: "I want to give name to these ideas which are nameless and formless, not yet birthed but already felt."
